Hollywood’s beloved rom-com queen made headlines again—this time in Montecito’s elite real estate market. The star, most recently seen on screen in 2023 alongside David Duchovny in What Happens Later, parted ways with her stunning hillside estate tucked behind gates and dense greenery on a private two-acre lot.

Originally built in 2010 and formerly owned by late mystery novelist Sue Grafton, the property has seen some notable upgrades over the years. During the actress’s tenure, the estate underwent a significant transformation, including a 3,000-square-foot expansion and the addition of a charming ocean-view front porch complete with a fireplace and swinging chair.

The compound, nestled against the backdrop of the Santa Ynez Mountains, includes three distinct structures—a main residence, guest quarters above a three-car garage, and a detached cabin. Together, they span approximately 8,400 square feet, offering a total of seven bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Inside the main house, over 7,100 square feet of thoughtfully curated interiors showcase dark hardwood floors, whitewashed beam ceilings, lime-washed walls, and arched doorways. A private elevator services all three levels. Highlights include a cozy media room, a sleeping porch, and an elegant fireside living room illuminated by a dramatic chandelier. The open-plan dining area and breakfast nook flow into a modern kitchen outfitted with a marble island, high-end appliances, a walk-in pantry, and a built-in coffee bar.

The luxurious primary suite upstairs offers a private balcony, a fireside sitting area, a spacious walk-in closet, and a spa-like bath featuring a floating vanity and a soaking tub. Outside, manicured gardens, a bubbling fountain, and multiple lounging and entertaining areas make the grounds feel like a private resort. The guest accommodations—an 800-square-foot suite above the garage and a 454-square-foot cabin—each offer a bedroom and bath for visitors or extended stays.

Although her Montecito chapter may be closing, the actress is far from done with beautiful homes. She recently purchased a $13.5 million traditional shingled estate in the Hamptons—no doubt, a new canvas for her signature design flair.
